About the show

Join the Criticless crew on a journey of free thought as they develop a refreshing film criticism counter-culture where its okay to disagree with out-of-touch film critics.

The divide between movie critics and general audiences seems to grow more every day and its time someone put it under a microscope. Are critics too politically driven, too close to the industry, or just too disconnected to relate? Maybe it’s all of the above and then some, and they are determined to find out!

Get controversial and dissect tomato scores while uplifting our Criticless users week to week! Join your host and Criticless CEO Blaine Andrews and fellow movie lovers Matt Verlaque, Chris Cowles, and assorted miscreants as they hypocritically review the latest in film and TV while attempting to predict, discuss, & critique the overall critical response.

  • Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (& a man hugging a rat in the dark)

    November 21st, 2022  |  Season 3  |  1 hr 42 mins
action, adventure, angela bassett, black panther, danai gurira, dominique thorne, drama, letitia wright, lupita nyong'o, martin freeman, marvel, mcu, ryan coogler, tenoch huerta, winston duke

If you have been a long-time listener, then you will know Blaine's extreme dislike for the first Black Panther movie so at the very least this will be a pretty interesting one! It's now been 4 years sense the first film, the public is losing faith in the MCU, and on top of it all we have a new-ish actor in the role of Black Panther. Can director Ryan Coogler bring the MCU back to life or is he going to drive the wedge deeper with the die hard fans in favor of critics and the Twitter Twats?

  • Black Adam (& anyone else please!)

    November 8th, 2022  |  Season 3  |  1 hr 27 mins
action, adventure, aldis hodge, dc, dwayne johnson, fantasy, jaume collet-serra, noah centineo, pierce brosnan, quintessa swindell, sarah shahi

So DC has a new movie out about one of their long running villains... but it's staring The Rock who is notorious for refusing to be the bad guy. So, there are two big questions to ask. First, can Dwayne break bad?... and second, but most important, it's a DC movie... so does it suck?

  • Barbarian (& knee knockers)

    September 20th, 2022  |  Season 3  |  1 hr 36 mins
bill skarsgård, georgina campbell, horror, jaymes butler, justin long, matthew patrick davis, richard brake, thriller, zach cregger

So a new horror film called Barbarian in theaters now... We don't have any idea why that's the name but what we do know is that you should not research this movie at all and definitely don't watch the trailer!

  • Bullet Train (& America's @$$hole)

    August 22nd, 2022  |  Season 3  |  1 hr 59 mins
aaron taylor-johnson, action, andrew koji, bad bunny, brad pitt, brian tyree henry, comedy, david leitch, hiroyuki sanada, joey king, karen fukuhara, logan lerman, masi oka, michael shannon, sandra bullock, thriller, zak olkewicz, zazie beetz

The name of the game for Critically Aroused lately is to record an episode and then wait an insanely long time to go live with it, so at long last here is your Bullet Train review! Also...The critics strike again! Don't consult Rotten Tomatoes before seeing this one!

  • Nope (& don't talk about chimps!)

    August 3rd, 2022  |  Season 3  |  1 hr 58 mins
brandon perea, daniel kaluuya, horror, jordan peele, keke palmer, michael wincott, mystery, sci-fi, steven yeun

Jordan Peel is critically loved as a director but common to what they would like for you to think he's an extremely divisive director at the very least. Being that Get Out is one of Blaine's most hated movies of all time, paired with his extreme dislike for Jordan and his political effect on the industry, you should definitely give this week's review a listen!

  • Spiderhead (& Sandy Little Snow Bastard)

    June 29th, 2022  |  Season 3  |  1 hr 57 mins
action, chris hemsworth, crime, drama, george saunders, joseph kosinski, jurnee smollett, mark paguio, miles teller, paul wernick, rhett reese, spiderhead, thriller
